ENGL 206 - World Literature II


3 Credit(s).

Is a course in which students explore representative and underrepresented writers and texts of both Western and Eastern cultures from the seventeenth century to the present. The readings acquaint students with the diverse cultural ideas that have contextualized and shaped literature; students analyze the subsequent creeds and controversies such ideas have engendered within and between societies and civilizations. Note: This course is a globally intensive course that promotes intercultural competency and global awareness. Successful completion of this course contributes toward the 15 credits of globally intensive curriculum needed to earn the certificate of Global Distinction. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of ENGL 101  with a “C” or better
