In a flexible and supportive learning environment, students can attain a continuing education certificate leading to a new career, develop career and academic skills, earn high school diplomas, or take personal enrichment courses. Continuing Education offers the opportunity for adult learners to earn licensures or continuing education certificates in more than 120 subject areas.
Continuing Education classes are held on all CCBC campuses and extension centers, at numerous community locations and online. They can also be delivered directly to the workplace, making learning available to the community any time and any place.
Continuing Education develops relationships in the community with private, government and business organizations and promotes programs, courses and services that support economic and community development.

Campus Security/Public Safety

Class Cancellations
If a class is canceled or rescheduled, students will be notified by phone, email, or mail. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the college has accurate information.

Emergency Closings
For all emergency closings of a campuses or off-site locations including Baltimore County Public Schools, go to: ccbcmd.edu. CCBC also contacts local media with emergency closing information and updates. Also, all students are automatically signed up for the campus alert system. If you would like to make any changes to how the College notifies you, log into myCCBC and going to SIMON, but you are not able to opt out of email messaging.
When Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) are closed, all CCBC classes held at those locations will be canceled. Visit Baltimore County Public Schools for BCPS closing information.
Students Under Age 16
Unless an age is specifically identified, CCBC Continuing Education courses are available to students 16 and older. Special permission is required for students under the age of 16 to take an adult course. Call 443-840-2222 or StudentCentral@ccbcmd.edu for further information. Students of all ages must follow the CCBC Student Code of Conduct.

Refund Policy
To receive a refund or drop/add a course, call 443-840-2222 at least one business day prior to the course. Refunds will be process in the form of a check or processed back to the payment source.
Residency Requirement
The CCBC Board of Trustees approved the following residency requirement: A student must have resided in a county or city of the State of Maryland for at least 3 months prior to the first day of classes to be eligible for the resident rate of that county or city. Room Assignments
Call 443-840-2222 three days prior to the class for room assignments. For classes held off site, room assignments will be posted at the site when classes begin.

Tuition Waivers
CCBC offers tuition waivers for:
- Maryland residents who are age 60 or older on the first day of class.
- People with documented disabilities as defined by the Social Security or Railroad Retirement Act.
- Students who qualify as foster care or homeless.

Course tuition and associated fees may be paid by personal or third party check, money order, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) or cash (depending on location and method of registrations chosen).
Partial Payment

Code of Conduct and Financial Obligations
CCBC Continuing Education students must follow the CCBC Student Code of Conduct, and by registering also agree to the stipulations of the CCBC Statement of Financial Responsibility. These require the student to act in a manner that promotes civility, growth and development; and to pay all assessed tuition and fees resulting from all registration activity. Students are not able to register until all prior financial obligations are satisfied. These policies can be found on the CCBC website.
