VOB 102 - Certified Residential Interior Designer Part 2 This course is designed to prepare the student for a career as a residential interior designer and to prepare the student for the Certified Residential Interior Designer Education (R.I.D.E.) exam. Topics to be covered include the continued study of interior design theory and practice, increased discussion on industry regulations, portfolio creation, and preparation for the Residential Interior Designer Education exam.
Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. discuss intermediate theories of interior design,
2. discuss compliance and continued education on industry regulation and compliance,
3. describe space planning,
4. perform continued work on portfolio development, and
5. discuss test-taking strategies for the Residential Interior Designer Education exam.
Note: The Certified Residential Interior Designer credential should not be confused with the Certified Interior Designer status certified and regulated by the Maryland State Board of Certified Interior Designers. This program does not meet the education and experience requirements necessary for Maryland State Certification.
