PCA 798 - Python Developer: Module Two This course is designed teach students how to program in Python as a follow-up to Python Developer: Module One. Topics to be included are the basics of Python, including Python’s applications in the wider programming world, utilizing iPhone Notebook, the Collections Module, regular expressions, databases, SCV files, JSON, and XML. Additional topics include object-oriented code in Python, testing and debugging Python code, and introduction to NumPy, pandas, ant matplotlib.
Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. demonstrate Python sequences: lists, arrays, dictionaries, and sets;
2. demonstrate expertise with databases, CSV files, JSON, and XML;
3. write object-oriented code in Python;
4. test and debug Python code;
5. recognize Unicode and text encoding;
6. use NumPy to work with arrays and matrices of numbers; and
7. analyze data with pandas.
