VOA 792 - Certified Supply Chain Professional - Part 2 This course is designed to enable the student to learn all steps of a supply chain from the manufacturer, through the business, to the end customer, and how to efficiently manage the convergence of each segment of a supply chain to optimize the value chain of a product. This class will prepare students to take the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) test. Topics to be covered include: inventory management, Lean & Six Sigma, global logistics, and supply chain integration.
Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. develop a supply chain strategy that includes core capabilities, supply chain objectives,
macro & micro economic consideration, technology and network optimization,
2. implement a supply chain strategy,
3. model the planning and procurement process within the supply chain activities, including
demand management, operations planning, and control, inventory management, logistics,
4. manage the relationship with supply chain partners, and
5. manage supply chain improvement and best practices through compliance with standards,
sustainability, managing supply chain risk, and metric design to monitor performance.
