HSL 113 - Event Management & Design: Module 2 This course is designed to enable the student to learn about special event design, decorative elements, and types of special events. Topics to be covered include interactive presentations, corporate events, weddings, parades, festivals, and more. You will learn about the practicalities of planning events and the dazzle of designing them. This is the last module of a two-part series that will teach you how to design, plan, implement, and
evaluate special events.
Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. explain the principles, processes, and practices of event design;
2. identify decorative elements and unique decorative elements;
3. discuss event lighting design; and
4. identify the differences of various event types including corporate, non-profit events,
and special events.
