MGT 850 - The Role of the Administrative Professional This course is designed to enable the student to learn the various roles and responsibilities of administrative professionals that contribute to the success of a business. Topics to be covered include the need for a variety of self-management skills, including clerical, technology, soft skills, and communication skills in order to ensure that interactions in an office are positive and productive.
Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. identify the various administrative roles and responsibilities that are needed to
help run a successful business,
2. discuss career pathways important to the role of the administrative professional, and
3. describe interpersonal skills and technical skills necessary to be successful in this
program.
