PCO 285 - Microsoft Project 2019 This course is designed to enable the student who is a project manager to learn the fundamentals of how to create a project plan using Microsoft Project 2019 during the planning phase of a project, and update a project plan during the execution, monitoring, and controlling phases of a project. Topics to be covered include: starting a project, working with calendars, working with tasks, working with resources, delivering a project plan,
managing the project environment, managing task structures, generating views, and producing reports.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
1. create new plans, build task lists, and assign resources;
2. provide resource capacity and track progress;
3. inspect and fine-tune work and cost details;
4. plan schedules with Gantt charts, and other views and reports;
5. combine projects and share resources across plans;
6. manage modern agile projects;
7. create a project to maximize your efficiency;
8. utilize improvements to task linking, timelines, and accessibility;
9. communicate and collaborate with team members; and
10. track and monitor project performance throughout its life-cycle.
