PCO 433 - Excel Basics for Business This continuing education course is designed to enable students to utilize basic Excel functions for performing business tasks. Topics to be covered include: creating basic financial statements, use of merged cells, basic formatting, linking spreadsheets, SUM formulas, using VLOOKUP, automating financial tasks, and creating an amortization table.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
1. demonstrate use of merged cells and basic formatting,
2. demonstrate use of formulas to perform calculations,
3. demonstrate use of charts and chart tools,
4. create financial reports,
5. create an amortization schedule, and
6. discuss how Excel can be used to automate financial tasks.
