GLBL 101 - Introduction to Global Studies 3 Credit(s).
An interdisciplinary course that examines processes of globalization and their consequences. Coursework introduces students to global perspectives on issues confronting the world including the relationships among politics, culture, the environment, and economics. Students develop communication skills, heightened global awareness, and the critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing world. Note: This course is a globally intensive course that promotes intercultural competency and global awareness. Successful completion of this course contributes toward the 15 credits of globally intensive curriculum needed to earn the certificate of Global Distinction. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.
