DITP 251 - Deaf Interpreting II 4 Credit(s).
Expands on content studied in DITP 250. Delves deeper into the field of Deaf Interpreting. Deaf interpreters are cultural and linguistic specialists that work alongside hearings interpreters to optimize communication access for a wide range of deaf consumers. Topics include deaf interpreters ethics, modes of interpretation, translation, consecutive interpretation, simultaneous interpretation, specialized interpretation, and the teaming process. Course offered once a year (fall or spring).
