PAST 252 - Clinical Practicum II

6 Credit(s).

Provides the physician assistant student with patient care experience under the supervision of a licensed/certified healthcare practitioner. Students apply knowledge and skills learned in the didactic year to patient evaluation, and begin to apply patient management strategies to patients during five-week rotations in theses specialties: family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, surgery, and community medicine. Course offered once a year (fall or spring).

Prerequisite(s): PAST 250  and PAST 251
