- Designated Statewide Programs include only the credit certificates and the Flight Operations Management degree.

- Some Aviation classes have lab fees. Fees are subject to change at the discretion of the Community College of Baltimore County.

Semester Sequence
This is a suggested schedule for a student who has completed any developmental course work and has no transfer credits. The schedule would be the same for a student starting in the Spring semester.

Note
*Credit students who are new to college (no successfully completed transferable college credits from other institutions) are required to take ACDV 101 - Academic Development: Transitioning to College . This 1-credit course is designed to be taken in the first semester at CCBC. Students must provide an official transcript(s) from an accredited institution to document successful completion of college coursework for the ACDV 101 requirement to be waived.
Program Description
The Flight Attendant Certificate prepares students for employment as flight attendants in corporate, business or airline operations. Flight Attendants are FAA licensed crew members who play a vital role in the efficient operation of the flight. They are responsible for the safety and comfort of passengers and are trained in emergency procedures, first aid, conflict management, aircraft systems, and safety equipment.
Educational Outcomes
Upon completion of this certificate program, graduates will:
- Be qualified for employment as a flight attendant with regional and major airlines, corporate flight departments, business charter or cargo operators and fixed base operators.
- Be qualified for employment for non-aviation positions available with other transportation related services, law enforcement, or other federal, state and local agencies.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this certificate program, students will be able to:
- demonstrate leadership, teamwork, managerial, and organizational skills within the aviation industry;
- analyze and assess airline and corporate flight operations, government regulations, and safety and environmental concerns to plan and implement appropriate strategic and tactical business methodologies;
- measure the impact of global competition and security issues on the U.S. aviation industry, identify progressive actions to overcome these issues, and utilize technology to enhance efficiency and competitiveness;
- respond to changing paradigms and unique challenges associated with a culturally diverse workforce; and
- speak and write effectively for professional business communication in the aviation industry.
