Note

*Credit students who are new to college (no successfully completed transferable college credits from other institutions) are required to take ACDV 101 - Academic Development: Transitioning to College . This 1-credit course is designed to be taken in the first semester at CCBC. Students must provide an official transcript(s) from an accredited institution to document successful completion of college coursework for the ACDV 101 requirement to be waived.

Program Description

Individuals successfully completing this certificate are ready for employment opportunities in the automotive repair industry as electrical or electronic systems technicians. Global options are available full-time weekday, and part-time weeknights and/or Friday/Saturday, with starts throughout the year.

Program Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this certificate, students will be able to:

successfully complete ASE testing for Electrical and Electronics Certification;
know how to diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems in automotive vehicles; and
use necessary electrical equipment to aid in diagnosis of automotive vehicles.
