Notes

Students must be assessed according to the college’s Assessment/Placement policy before entering a course.

Students placed into ESOL courses must begin their ESOL course work immediately within their first semester at CCBC. They may concurrently take non-ESOL courses that do NOT have ESOL prerequisites.  Students must take at least one ESOL course for each  semester in which they are enrolled until completing the ESOL sequence. Students may not enroll in any other courses without concurrently enrolling in the ESOL courses necessary to complete the ESOL sequence. It is strongly recommended that students who enroll in the fall and spring take all courses in each level simultaneously.

PLEASE NOTE: ESOL students are required to complete ACDV 101 . They may not enroll in ACDV 101 until they are eligible to take classes at the Advanced Level: ESOL 042  , ESOL 043  and ESOL 044 .*

*Exception: If a student who is enrolled in ESOL classes at CCBC has completed other credit course work successfully at an accredited college or university within the United States as documented by an official college transcript, he/she is exempt from the ACDV 101  requirement.
