**A new college orientation requirement, completion of the one-credit ACDV 101 course, Transitioning to College, went into effect spring 2010. If you are a credit student who is new to college (meaning you have not successfully completed college coursework at another institution(s)), you are required to take ACDV 101 during your first semester at CCBC, thereby increasing the number of credits required for the degree to 64-65 credits. Students are required to provide an official transcript(s) to document successful completion of college coursework at another institution(s) in order for this requirement to be waived.
The Motion Graphics option prepares students to enter the fields of animation and motion graphics design. Students in the program acquire skills and create original projects in several forms of time-based media including video production, 2D animation, 3D animation, and contemporary digital motion graphics compositing. Students who select this curriculum and plan to transfer to a four-year college, university, or art school should consult with the program coordinator. This program offers a variety of specialized courses that may not match every transfer pattern. Program Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this degree option, students will be able to:
- create dynamic interactive projects using the latest interactive authoring software;
- understand and use high-end Web/HTML authoring software;
- create, organize, and deploy professional Web sites;
- understand and use digital imaging hardware and image editing software;
- create, edit, and enhance video content for the Web;
