NURN 222 - Pediatric Nursing Concepts 3 Credit(s).
Prepares students for the nurse generalist role in the provision of nursing care to children and families in acute care and community settings. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of child health, normal and abnormal growth and development, and pediatric nursing care for patients with oxygenation, nutrition, perfusion, homeostasis, and neural regulation issues. Clinical, lab and simulation experiences are used to stimulate critical thinking and will augment didactic learning in acute care and community settings. NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions.
Prerequisite(s): NURN 160 and NURN 217 or NURN 218 . Lab Fee: $264.00
