Note


*Credit students who are new to college (no successfully completed transferable college credits from other institutions) are required to take ACDV 101 - Academic Development: Transitioning to College . This 1-credit course is designed to be taken in the first semester at CCBC. Students must provide an official transcript(s) from an accredited institution to document successful completion of college coursework for the ACDV 101 requirement to be waived.

Program Description

Program Outcomes


Upon successful completion of this certificate, students will be able to:

  1. understand camera types and their respective uses;
  2. produce high quality color and black and white digital/photographic prints;
  3. operate digital image capture devices;
  4. use digital image editing software/hardware for both retouching and creative effect;
  5. understand color theory and processes as they relate to photographic imagery;
  6. create professional portraits and product illustrations;
  7. understand and use professional studio lighting equipment; and
  8. develop and present a creative professional portfolio.
