Computer Aided Design (CAD)

Program Description


Prepare for a career in Computer Aided Design by obtaining a CAD certificate.  CCBC Catonsville is an Autodesk Authorized Training Center.

Program Outcomes


Successful Completion:

CCBC Credential: Students will have access to a Continuing Education academic record (transcript). Students will be awarded a Continuing Education Workforce Training Certificate.

Career Opportunities:

Entry-level or assistive CAD designer/drafter positions in fields such as architecture, electronics, construction, and civil engineering.

Program Length


70 hours; number of weeks and start dates vary

Program Requirements


Minimum age of 16 with parental permission.

Recommended - Previous design or CAD experience is helpful, but not necessary.

Application Process


Open Entry – No screening or documentation required.

1.  Fab Lab Introduction: VOD 525

2. Blueprint Reading: TEC 610

  • Textbook/Materials:
    • Course materials are provided and included in the course cost.

Prerequisite Costs

  • Tuition/Fees: $358 (Tuition-$175/Fees-$183)

 

Course Series:

1.  Basic AutoCAD: TEC 149

  • Textbook/Materials:
    • Course materials are provided and included in the course cost.

2.  Autodesk Revit: TEC 504

  • Textbook/Materials:
    • Course materials are provided and included in the course cost.

  • Tuition/Fees: $2438 (Tuition-$982/Fees-$1456)
