Short Description


The Cloud Technology Certificate program prepares students with the foundational technical skills essential for entry-level roles in the cloud and IT (Information Technology) sector. All courses within this program apply directly toward the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Network Technology, General Networking concentration.

This program includes coursework designed to prepare students for CompTIA entry-level certification exams, such as A+ and Network+, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner exam, and CompTIA Cloud+ certifications.

Note


*Credit students who are new to college (no successfully completed transferable college credits from other institutions) are required to take ACDV 101 - Academic Development 101 . This 1-credit course is designed to be taken in the first semester at CCBC. Students must provide an official transcript(s) from an accredited institution to document successful completion of college coursework for the ACDV 101 requirement to be waived.

Program Description

Program Outcomes


Upon successful completion of this certificate, students will be able to:

  1. Describe the basic concepts of networking, including OSI and TCP/IP models.
  2. Diagnose and resolve common network and system problems.
  3. Understand the principles of virtualization and Cloud and their benefits.
  4. Describe the architecture and components of cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  5. Configure and manage cloud services using platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  6.  Describe the latest developments in cloud computing and network administration.
