Short Description
This Letter of Recognition is granted to students in the Associate of Arts in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture Program who complete the identified courses with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of a B or better in all courses. The college requires a 2.0 overall GPA to be awarded the Letter of Recognition.
Students in any program of study who take advanced levels of American Sign Language prior to the completion of their program can earn this credential to show potential employers that they have achieved mastery of basic language skills and knowledge about Deaf culture norms. All of the following courses can also be used toward the Associate of Arts in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture.
