The Information Technology A.A.S. degree is offered both face to face and fully (100%) online.
Opportunities for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) - Several General Education classes offer PLA. See Portfolio, Departmental Exam, CLEP, DSST, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate. General education classes are required for associate degrees but not for certificates.

Note

*Credit students who are new to college (no successfully completed transferable college credits from other institutions) are required to take ACDV 101 - Academic Development: Transitioning to College . This 1-credit course is designed to be taken in the first semester at CCBC. Students must provide an official transcript(s) from an accredited institution to document successful completion of college coursework for the ACDV 101 requirement to be waived.

Program Description

With the Mobile Development Certificate, students will be highly marketable in the ever growing business of mobile application development. The certificate will provide dual entry into the Mobile technology industry by preparing students for both Android and iOS development.

Program Outcomes

Upon graduating with a Mobile Development Certificate, students will be able to:

demonstrate the technical skills needed to create applications for Android and iOS using specialized development environments.
develop mobile applications that include comprehensive, up-to-date best practices including security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
employ a broad knowledge of technical skills needed in the field of mobile application development.
demonstrate appropriate ethical and professional conduct related to technology and computing practices.
