Note


*Credit students who are new to college (no successfully completed transferable college credits from other institutions) are required to take ACDV 101 - Academic Development: Transitioning to College . This 1-credit course is designed to be taken in the first semester at CCBC. Students must provide an official transcript(s) from an accredited institution to document successful completion of college coursework for the ACDV 101 requirement to be waived.

 

Program Description


Students will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become an IT programmer using languages such as C++, Visual Basic, and Java.

Program Outcomes


Upon successful completion of this certificate, students will be able to:

  1. develop and design well-written, correct, and documented programs.
  2. design and implement computer-based solutions in the context of programming.
  3. recognize the System Development Life Cycle in the development of computer programs. 
  4. demonstrate the abilty to critically examine, debug, and test computer programs.
  5. demonstrate appropriate ethical and professional conduct related to technology and computing practices.
