Program Description

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging program is designed to provide the working Radiologic Technologist with the theoretical background and documented clinical experience necessary to apply to sit for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registry examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).* The certificate is based on the curriculum suggested by the American Society for Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the clinical standards required by the ARRT. Required didactic components will be offered as well as optional clinical components based on student need. The didactic component of the curriculum will be delivered both on-line using Brightspace and in a classroom setting with lectures and discussion. The clinical component will be gained in an array of clinical affiliates.

*CCBC does not guarantee that students will complete all clinical requirements for the ARRT exam.
