Corporate Event Planner


Program Description


Learn how to plan, design, and execute a successful corporate event, and how to charge for corporate event planning services.  Corporate events span all industries and are planned for a variety of occasions and celebrations. From special events and meetings to assemblies, recognition events and corporate training—you’ll be prepared to handle them all! Upon successfully completing the course, you will be awarded a Certified Corporate Event Planner certification from the Wedding Planning Institute.

Program Outcomes


CCBC Credential: Students will receive a Continuing Education Workforce Training Certificate, and have access to a Continuing Education academic record (transcript).

External Credential: Certified Corporate Event Planner

Program Length


This program takes approximately 240 hours to complete. Students may work up to 6 months to complete the online course work.

Program Requirements


Requirements:

This program is offered entirely online and can be taken on either a Mac or a PC. Students will need to have an Internet connection and email capabilities.

This program is compatible with the Windows XP and later operating systems and IE 7 and later browsers.

Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Acrobat Reader are required for this course.

Application Process


To apply, go to www.ccbcmd.edu/apply and complete the CCBC Non-Credit Workforce Training Certificate application.  An email will then be sent with program information and any additional requirements necessary to apply for the program.

Open Entry – No screening or documentation required.

Skills for Success:
Outstanding people skills, professional appearance, ability to work independently, good math skills.  Knowledge and/or experience in hospitality-related fields helpful.

​Since this course is delivered completely online, students will need to have the self discipline to complete all required material.  A course instructor will be available to assist students with questions and to lead online activities during the course of the class.
