Short Description
Professional UAS pilots are highly trained and competent aircraft operators who are not only responsible for flight safety, but also for the operation of sophisticated and expensive equipment. Pilots must meet FAA medical standards.
Program graduates will have completed all academic training required for the commercial pilot airplane certificate with specialized training in UAS operations. Pilots with this training may find employment with a growing number of UAS business and public service applications including surveying & mapping, on-demand media, search and rescue, law enforcement, aerial delivery or with numerous government agencies or military services. Non-flying positions are also available with the Federal Aviation Administration or other federal, state and local aviation agencies.

Program Description

Graduates of the Professional Pilot UAS degree program will have completed all academic training required for the commercial pilot airplane certificate with specialized training in UAS operations. Pilots with this training may find employment with a growing number of UAS business and public service applications including surveying & mapping, on-demand media, search and rescue, law enforcement, aerial delivery or with numerous government agencies or military services. Non-flying positions are also available with the Federal Aviation Administration or other federal, state and local aviation agencies.

Some aviation classes have lab fees . Fees are subject to change at the discretion of the Community College of Baltimore County.
