Program Description


The Design Certificate course series instructs working professionals, young entrepreneurs, current credit students, and small business owners in the latest design thinking concepts and professional design skills for a competitive market.  Rebranding your company or non-profit can increase its credibility, search-ability and visibility in a design-centric market.  Students will take a series of courses that lead them through logo, type, print, web, and social media marketing design skills. They will learn about the tools and programs that professional designers use in the workplace, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Wacom tablets, Digital SLR cameras, color printers, and high resolution scanners.

Program Outcomes


Successful Completion:

CCBC Credential:          

Students will earn a CCBC Continuing Education Workforce Training Certificate and have access to a Continuing Education academic record (transcript).

Career Opportunities:

Entry level graphic design positions.  Self-employed students will have the capability to rework their own companies’ digital and print marketing materials

Program Length


Two years.

Students must complete all required courses and 2 elective courses within a 2-year window to receive the Design Certificate.

Program Requirements


Students must be computer literate and have internet access.
