VETT 212 - Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology

Introduces the study of drugs and their effects on animals, including toxicology. The course emphasizes dosage and preparation of medications. Specific information on the classes of medications used in animal species, indications, contraindications, and side effects is included. The course provides information regarding the storage, handling, dispensing, and disposal of medications, as well as legal requirements related to their use. Course offered once a year (fall or spring).
