This continuing education course is designed to enable students with disabilities to review and reinforce literacy skills in between semesters. Topics to be covered include: identifying main idea and supporting details, comparing details, and sequencing events in a short passage.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. identify the main idea and supporting details by citing specific details and examples for a given passage;
2. compare and contrast details of short passages; and
3. demonstrate the ability to sequence events of a short passage.
