This continuing education course is designed to allow students to observe English language classes and tutor or assist in teaching English language learners for up to 6 hours. Topics to be covered include: evaluating English language instruction, assessing learners’ needs, and instructional methods.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:

1. evaluate English language instruction,
2. assess learner’s needs, and
3. apply a range of instructional methods and techniques in teaching English language
