This continuing education course is designed for students to observe English language classes and to tutor or assist in teaching English language learners for up to 6.5 hours. Topics to be covered include: evaluating English language instruction, assessing learners’ needs, and instructional methods.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:

1. evaluate English language instruction;
2. assess learner’s needs; and
3. apply a range of instructional methods and techniques in teaching English language.
