AHL 275 - Anatomy, Morphology and Physiology (AMP) for Dental Assisting 3 Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).
This course is designed to enable the student to learn about head and neck anatomy and its specific functions relative to the oral cavity. Topics to be covered include head and neck anatomy, tooth anatomy, morphology, and physiology.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. discuss anatomy and pathology of hard and soft tissue;
2. identify landmarks (i.e. radiographic, bony, soft tissue), and structures of the oral cavity;
3. identify and label structures of Circulatory and Lymphatic System, Muscular/Skeletal System, and Nervous System; and
4. explain tooth morphology, anomalies, classifications, and numbering systems .
