AHL 354 - Digital Health Concepts and Management

This course is designed to develop leadership capabilities for healthcare IT professionals. The course emphasizes the role of IT in supporting organizational objectives such as business and clinical transformation, new models of care, and emerging tech while developing essential leadership skills. Topics to be covered include strategic planning, change management, innovation adoption, and effective communication strategies required for successful healthcare IT leadership.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. identify the broad use cases and applications of digital health for the care continuum;
2. develop plans aligned with organizational objectives to support digital health;
3. evaluate emerging technologies and innovation opportunities in healthcare;
4. apply change management principles to healthcare IT initiatives;
5. design effective communication strategies for diverse stakeholders;
6. analyze financial considerations in healthcare IT management; and
7. explain how to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and team development.
