PCO 481 - Mastering Accessibility in Excel and PowerPoint Presentations

This course covers accessibility best practices in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, ensuring spreadsheets and presentations are usable by all. Participants will explore techniques such as proper table formatting, color contrast adjustments, and accessible slide design.

Topics to be covered include:
1. Accessible Table Formatting in Excel
2. Ensuring Color Contrast and Readability
3. Using Alternative Text in Charts and Graphics
4. Creating Accessible PowerPoint Slides
5. Slide Navigation and Screen Reader Compatibility

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. Format tables and data for accessibility in Excel.  
2. Use high-contrast color schemes and alternative text.  
3. Design PowerPoint slides with accessibility in mind.
4. Test presentations for compatibility with screen readers .
5. Improve navigation and readability for all users.
