CHA 127 - Foundations of Video Game Design II


4.4 Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).

This course is designed to provide the student with the skills needed to follow instructions and utilize a software program to successfully design a very basic video game. Topics to be covered include game mechanics, animation systems, collision geometry, physics, and data structures.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. demonstrate the ability to follow instructions to create an animated, interactive computer program;
2. identify and describe the technological components of a basic video game program; and
3. create and develop a video game using animation software.
