This course is designed to enable the student to learn the fundamentals of planning, orchestrating, and delivering weddings and parties. This is module 2 of a three-part series. The topics to be covered include skills of wedding planning, use of project management skills, and methods of creating quality wedding packages.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. develop skills needed to jumpstart a career as a wedding planner or event coordinator;
2. explain how to develop a client profile, and how to set vendor and customer expectations;
3. demonstrate use of project management skills;
4. explain how to evaluate competition;
5. create quality wedding packages; and
6. describe how to work with prospective clients and create a plan.
