MGT 903 - MAKING EFFECTIVE PRESENTATIONS

Course Objectives:
This course is designed to enable the student, who is a business or non-profit professional, to learn to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to deliver effective oral presentations. Topics to be covered include dealing with anxiety, audience analysis, presentation planning, and engaging the audience.

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. explain the planning, organization, and design of effective presentations;
2. identify ways of dealing with the fear of public speaking;
3. describe techniques for creating rapport with an audience; and
4. demonstrate effective delivery of an oral presentation using proper speech, voice, and body language.
