MAR 016 - CONTENT CREATION FOR MARKETING XX Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).
Course Objectives:
This course is designed to improve students’ writing skills with emphasis on business writing for print and for the web. Topics will include basic grammar, organizing ideas for effectiveness and flow, writing for specific audiences and media, and writing to inform, sell and persuade. Students will learn to identify keywords used for social media and website marketing and how to incorporate them in their writing.
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. explain the different reasons why people buy;
2. create clear, concise messages with a focus on audience, purpose, and tone;
3. organize a message for effectiveness and flow;
4. create promotional materials such as flyers, ads, sales letters, blog posts, and articles for social media;
5. identify where and how to research keywords; and
6. write original content and adapt existing contact to incorporate key search terms.
