SBA 102 - PREPARING FOR A CAREER IN CUSTOMER SERVICE XX Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).
Course Objectives:
This continuing education course is designed to help participants prepare for a career in customer service roles by creating a well-designed resume and cover letter, as well as learning strategies and techniques that can be used for effective interviews for these roles. Topics to be covered include: creating a well-designed resume, identifying customer service skills for resumes, creating cover letters focused on customer service positions, and strategies and techniques for effective interviews related to customer service positions.
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. create a well-written resume and cover letter,
2. explain the importance of first impressions,
3. research local job postings,
4. identify strategies to prepare effectively for job interviews,
5. demonstrate the ability to respond appropriately to interview questions, and
6. practice strategies and techniques for effective interviews.
