APP 360 - Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Apprenticeship: 1st Year-ABC Part B 7.8 Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).
This course is designed to prepare the apprentice who is employed full-time in the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning trade to achieve journeyman status. Topics include: piping, soldering and brazing, and basic electricity.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate understanding of the selection and use of both plastic and metal piping
2. Explain the procedures and safety precautions for soldering and brazing.
3. Describe power generation and distribution, electrical components, DC circuits, and electrical safety.
