This course is designed to prepare the apprentice who is employed full-time in the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning trade to achieve journeyman status. Topics include: introduction to heating, ventilating and air conditioning, trade math, and tools.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. Discuss the career opportunities in HVAC and apprenticeship programs.
2. Use math to measure lines, area, volume, weight, angles, pressure, vacuum, and temperature.
3. Use tools such as wrenches, saws, hammers, drills and measuring instruments safely and keep maintained
