APP 367 - Electrician Apprenticeship-1st Year-ABC Part B


7.8 Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).

This course is designed for the apprentice who is a registered first year electrical apprentice, inside wiring, and is working journeyman status. Topics include: electrical symbols, mathematics in electrical work, electrical code process, blueprint reading, working with wire and cable, and residential wiring.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

1. Protect electrical devices from overloading.
2. Wire compatible circuits allowing for voltage drop and grounding.
3. Distinguish between direct and alternating currents.
4. Interpret electrical symbols appearing on pertinent blueprints.
