This course, for business owners and entrepreneurs, is designed to provide instruction on how to develop digital marketing and social media strategies, platforms, and tactics. Topics to be covered include basic marketing principles, strategy, leveraging channels, measuring ROI, scheduling, web sites, and a review of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google, and Alignable.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
1. define the digital and social media landscape;
2. determine the best digital marketing platforms for their business;
3. identify best practices for engaging people via web, e-mail, content & social media;
4. create a marketing plan that utilizes web, e-mail, content & social media;
5. evaluate tools needed to create content, including video;
6. use a digital marketing dashboard to organize and automatically push out content through
a variety of channels; and
7. create a schedule for sends, posts, tweets, and images.
