SBA 045 - The Entrepreneurial Mindset with Coaching 1.8 Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).
This continuing education course is designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among students by guiding them through the iterative process of idea development and refinement. Topics to be covered include: exploring how to embrace experimentation, handle failure constructively, and leverage feedback to improve ideas; the basics of legal entity formation; the need for licenses and permits; and intellectual property protection. Complementing the in-class experience, each student will have the opportunity for a one-hour personalized one-on-one coaching session with the instructor to discuss and refine their entrepreneurial projects.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
1. describe the principles of the entrepreneurial mindset;
2. develop skills to ideate, test, and iterate business ideas;
3. explore how to embrace and learn from failure;
4. practice giving and receiving constructive feedback; and
5. complete one-on-one coaching sessions with instructor.
