Develops communication skills ESOL students need to succeed in an academic and/or professional setting. The course presents learning strategies, which develop fluency in oral communication and accuracy in listening comprehension. A variety of interactive activities involve learners in practicing skills that can be applied in real-life situations. A highly structured approach to pronunciation focuses on the sounds, stress, rhythm, and intonation of English. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.
