PCP 757 - Mobile Application Security - Hybrid


5 Continuing Education Units (CEU). This course is not for Credit(s).

This course is designed to enable the business professional to learn comprehensive, up-to-date best practices for writing mobile applications that resist attack and will not leak information.  This course focuses on strengthening code security throughout the entire development lifecycle.  Topics to be covered include mobile security, defining the mobile threat model, recognizing the risks of mobile applications, and integrating security throughout the application development process.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

1.  demonstrate the ability to protect code that communicates with back-end web servers;
2.  demonstrate the ability to safeguard databases;
3.  demonstrate the ability to resist web service attacks;
4.  use webviews securely;
5.  demonstrate the ability to enable secure user login and information transmission;
6.  demonstrate the ability to protect code and business rules from reverse engineering;
7.  demonstrate the ability to safely integrate third-party libraries;
8.  demonstrate the ability to take advantage of encryption; and
9.  demonstrate the ability to future proof code.
