MGT 792 - Leading Multiple Generations

This course is designed to enable the student to learn about the differences and needs of the current multi-generational workforce and approaches for managing them in their position as a manager or supervisor. Topics to be covered include: defining the characteristics and attributes of the four current generations, common challenges supervisors and leaders face working with different generations, and techniques to leverage each generation’s strengths.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. identify the generations in today’s workforce,
2. describe the values and work ethics of the four generations in the workplace,
3. explain the applications of situational leadership in the multi-generational workforce, and
4. discuss ways to use generational differences to improve organization effectiveness.
