MGT 788 - Ethics and Accountability

This course is designed to enable the student to learn about the elements of ethics in the modern business world and how to apply them in their position as a manager or supervisor who deals with customers. Topics to be covered include: personal integrity, professional ethics, accountability, transparency, and the differences between legal and ethical issues in business situations.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the students should be able to:
1. discuss how values influence organizations,
2. state the benefits of ethical behavior,
3. identify three approaches to ethics management,
4. describe resources to apply in an ethical decision-making process,
5. discuss critical thinking skills necessary in the analysis of business ethics, and
6. identify guiding principles and how to apply them at work.
