DCOM 217 - Cisco I: Introduction to Networks 4 Credit(s).
Introduces the architecture, structure, functions,components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks. The principles and structures of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations are introduced to provide a foundation for the curriculum. By the end of the course, students will be able to build simple LAN’s, perform basic configuration for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes. NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions.
Corequisite(s): DCOM 101 or consent of the Program Coordinator. Lab Fee: $15.00
