HUMS 162 - Legal and Ethical Issues in Child and Youth Care

3 Credit(s).

Legal and Ethical Issues in Child and Youth Care examines the legal and ethical issues inherent in the Child and Youth Care Practitioner (CYCP) field. The course focuses on the child welfare system, child safety/custody laws, confidentiality, and the required documentation and reporting processes. Further, ethical decision-making skills are developed. NOTE: Course offered fall, spring, and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): ESOL 052  and ESOL 054  or   or ACLT 053
